Givenchy couture shows romantic collection
Fashion house Givenchy haute couture presented the new fall collection for 2012 2013 during the Paris haute couture fashion week. Strikingly white, long dresses of pearls and lace passed the catwalk.
Riccardo Tisci, chief designer of Givenchy, allowed himself to fall collection inspired by the Victorian era. This resulted in a series of close-fitting, feminine long Japons finished with delicate materials like silk, chiffon, tulle and lace.
Striking are the handmade sequin dress that Tisci’s favorite cover. To let the dress designer was inspired by his graduation at Central St. Martins. No less remarkable is the sweater set with cash ant-made rosettes and large pearls.
Ready-to-wear collection
Givenchy’s ready-to-wear collection, in contrast to the couture collection of obscure and dark. Tisci showed themselves ready-to-wear fall collection inspired by the black panther. The collection consisted of jackets, shirts with high neck, knee-length skirts and loose sweaters in black and gold. The designer used materials such as organza, silk, velvet, leather and fur. Prints panther heads, purple orchids and pinups predominated.
