Recipe for fennel dish
Every day you try a meal that is different than normal. Unfortunately you do not always succeed, because you know and trust is often the easiest recipes. But the recipe for a fennel dish is quick, easy and probably something new.
When you think of vegetables, fennel is now perhaps not the first thing in your head comes up. But the anise flavor of fennel can be perfectly combined with various ingredients such as fish, meat or potatoes. But in the following recipe for a fennel dish with mushrooms and cheese.
Requirements:
• 4 small fennel bulbs
• 250 grams mushrooms
• 150 grams oyster mushrooms
• 100 grams cheese, grated
• 100 grams cheese, grated
• 3 spring onions
• 1 clove garlic
• 1 teaspoon thyme
• 1 teaspoon anise seed
• A little white wine
• Olive oil
• Salt and pepper
Preparation:
If you first cut the fennel bulbs into strips. Then heat up some olive oil in a large saucepan and fry the sliced fennel you here. Here you add the anise seeds and a dash of white wine, and then let you cover it with a lid, so it can steam 10 minutes.
Then grab another pan, which heats up again a little olive oil. Here you fry the chopped spring onions and garlic. Meanwhile, make the chestnut and oyster mushrooms clean, you cut into strips. These add the thyme to the scallions and garlic and fry them until they are soft and slightly translucent.
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Pick up a dish in which you first divide the fennel and sprinkle it over the grated cheese. Here comes the mushroom mixture over it, which you then cover with cheese. This goes in the oven for 15 minutes and then your fennel dish ready.
When the fennel dish you can get pasta, rice, potatoes, a salad or bread serving.
