About Kiboots
The first boots made of kilim (traditional hand woven rugs from Morocco) and get to date from the ’60s. Then they were primarily driven by hippies on a road trip in Morocco. For there arose the first kilim boots, to cut costs were locals of leather and carpet remnants shoes.
The designers behind Kiboots, Jovanna (24) and Martin (29) found a vintage pair last summer and decided to adapt the model to the Dutch market. For each pair Kiboots they select personally the finest carpets in Morocco and they see to it that the boots on the original and authentically made. With a few Kiboots on your feet so you do not have to worry that kinderabeid or chemicals to come to pass. There’s even a portion of the proceeds to a project to the local population to support Morocco.
