John Galliano
One of the biggest fashion events in 2013 was the dismissal of John Galliano. He was both Dior and his own label when fired because of his anti-Semitic statements. Some designers immediately canceled their show, but the board eventually decided that the entire Japanese Fashion Week could not go. Not only out of respect for the victims, but also because of a shortage of electricity, but also because of unsafe transportation.
