Dior couture perfume trends 2011
Dior has launched a new fragrance collection called La Collection Couturier Parfumeur. The line illustrates the life Christian Dior, the founder of the French fashion house.
Dior’s couturier Parfumeur La Collection consists of 10 different fragrances for women and men. 5 of these luxurious fragrances created by perfumer Francois Demachy are designed for men. The remaining five perfumes, which Demachy particular ingredients used are suitable for women.
La Couturier Perfumer Collection consists of five female perfumes followed.
New Look 1947 refers to the first Christian Dior fashion show, where his ‘new look’ presented. The scent contains mostly white flowers such as irises combined with tuberose, ylang-ylang, peony, jasmine and vanilla Sambac.
Mitzah is named after Dior’s muse and girlfriend Mitzah Bricard. Mitzah is an elegant oriental floral fragrance mixed with honey, vanilla and coriander.
Granville in Normandy is the place where the house stood where Dior as a child growing up. The sharp scent with ingredients like black pepper, rosemary, thyme and sandalwood is derived from nature in This area.
Milly-la-Foret is the place where Christian Dior after a hectic period like retreat. This fragrance is a combination of iris, jasmine, white musk and orange blossom a fresh floral scent.
Cologne Royale is a special cologne inspired by the Royal Courts of the 18 century which Dior was an admirer. This fragrance is a blend of lemon, bergamot, orange blossom, mint and sandalwood and can be worn by women and men.
Although I am not very impressed with the design of perfume bottles, I find this Dior fragrances are a nice gift for under the tree. La Couturier Collection Parfumeur fragrances are available in bottles of 125, 225 and 450 ml.
