Chanel Fashion trends Summer 2011
Paris Fashion Week: Chanel
Karl Lagerfeld presented yesterday Chanel Summer 2011 collection during Paris Fashion Week. He did this with a show that was full of huge extravagance.
For the show’s summer 2011 collection for Chanel Karl Lagerfeld was once again transformed the Grand Palais. This time he chose not huge lion, a farm or an iceberg, but for a spectacular French garden with three fountains.
The Chanel show opened with a lot of black and white which later went to a softer palette of pink, blue and yellow. We saw jackets with holes, gray skinny jeans, dresses and raffia tweed-like skirts. This was followed by flamboyant dresses with floral print and several classic Chanel jacket with three-quarter sleeves that were combined with shorts and skirts in tweed.
Qua Accessories Models wore long necklaces, large rings and gold bracelets, which were interspersed with red, black and white versions. The Bags ranged from the familiar flip bag in tweed and leather, to small golden evening bags. Karl also had opted for wooden platform shoes, Tweed boots with glitter and a striking umbrella, resembling a hat.
Karl Lagerfeld put in my opinion, a beautiful and portable Chanel summer collection down. Although the show itself was extravagant clothes lay in the clear emphasis on craftsmanship. But the finest hour of the show was a male model with a small boy, dressed in a white Chanel jacket, entered the catwalk.
