Beautiful people get good jobs faster
Beautiful people seem happier than people who look as pretty. They quickly get a good job and earn more, so say researchers at the University of Texas.
Economists analyzed data from five studies conducted between 1971 and 2009 among 25,000 people in America, Canada, Germany and Great Britain.
The survey (pdf) shows that beautiful people are generally happier. This lucky according to the researchers mainly due to the financial advantage constitutes beauty.
Wealth
According to lead researcher Daniel Hammer Mesh can be concluded that greater wealth for beauty in many ways makes. “More attractive people generally earn more money and often marry with nice people who earn much,” said Hamer Mesh.
In the study participants were judged on their beauty by a group of people through a photograph or face-to-face. These participants were then asked about their level of happiness.
The group of participants who found the best, found 10 percent happier than the less handsome group of participants.
Lead
According to Todd Kashdan, Psychology professor at George Mason University, they are perfectly logical research.
“Attraction is often a slight edge in getting what you want in life, at a job interview or first date. It helps to make a first impression and in persuading and influencing people,” said the teacher. “They quickly get the benefit of the doubt, unattractive people often do not get it.”
Women
Although the findings hold for both men and women, the researchers say that beauty in women more than men immediately brings luck.
